Liza takes Brighton Fringe by Storm

"Somewhere Under The Rainbow - The Liza Minnelli Story" takes to the road this summer and first stop is the Brighton Fringe Festival, from May 6th - 13th, where the show plays at Bar Broadway on Old Steine Street. Biscuits For Breakfast Theatre Company are delighted to be returning to the Swan Inn, Dobcross as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe later this summer. The scheduled performances have already sold out, so an extra date has been added on Sat 16th July.

Rehearsals underway for "A Fit Wife For A Revolutionary" in London Irish Centre

Biscuits For Breakfast are busy with rehearsals and the pre-production of the new play, written by abd starring Sharon Sexton. 

"A Fit Wife For A Revolutionary", which tells the story of Easter Week 1916 through the eyes of Mrs. Kathleen Clarke, is due to be staged for 6 performances in the London Irish Centre from Tuesday 29th March to Saturday 2nd April.

This evocative piece of brand new theatre, is set to take place in the upstairs Chapel of the London Irish Centre, which will be transformed into Kathleen's home, where she spent the week of the Easter Rising, alone. The piece is being directed by Cillian O'Donnachadha, featuring original music by Ivan Mc Kenna and costumes designed and created by Joe Redmond.  Tickets (£10/£12 ) are available at www.londonirishcentre.org or on 0207 916 22 22

Sharon shoots pilot for RTE Storyland - "Quinn and O'Grady"

Sharon recently took a weeks holidays from the West End production of Billy Elliot to fly home to Ireland to shoot a pilot which was commissioned by the RTE Storyland project.  The pilot episode of "Quinn and O'Grady", written by Janet Hayes and produced by Two Hungry Fish, was filmed over 6 days in Co. Offaly . Not only was Sharon delighted to have been cast in the role of "Quinn", she was also thrilled that the role of "O'Grady" - was played by her real life partner in crime Riona O'Connor, who makes up the other half of the comedy duo "The Craic Whores". The Pilot of "Quinn and O'Grady" is due to be screened on the RTE player in January 2016. Dates will be posted here.

"A Fit Wife For A Revolutionary" - launched at the Irish Embassy in London

Biscuits For Breakfast Theatre Company were honoured to be invited to the Irish Embassy in London on Novemeber 23rd to the launch of the 2016 commemoration programme.  The programme includes a host of creative and cultural events ,  celebrating 100 years since the Irish 1916 Easter Rising. 

Included in this programme is our latest production "A Fit Wife For A Revolutionary - Easter Week through the eyes of Kathleen Clarke". 

This new one woman show,  created and performed by Sharon Sexton, will be directed by Cillian O'Donnchadha and staged for a week in the London Irish Centre, Camden, next March. The play pays homage to one of Ireland's finest heroines, who along with many of her poltical sisters, has often been overlooked by the history books when recounting the events of 1916.

"Somewhere Under The Rainbow - The Liza Minnelli Story" - sells out in 24 hours! 

Following a successful run here last year, Biscuits For Breakfast Theatre Company were delighted to return to the beautiful Swan Inn Theatre in Dobcross. earlier this month, to enjoy two sold out performances of Somewhere Under The Rainbow. The audiences at The Swan never fail to dissappoint and the company look forward to returning to this magical venue once again in 2016.

Celebrating a mix of classical music with a contemporary twist, Voce will be appearing at a number of venues and events worldwide. Sharon joins West End cast of Billy Elliot the Musical

Sharon is delighted to be joining the cast of the much loved Billy Elliot The Musical, in London's West End. She is currently in rehearsals and will be joining the company on stage in May 2015, playing the role of Lesly and covering Billy's Mam. Sharon has always been a massive fan of the show and is looking forward to dusting off her tap shoes for this one.

Sharon is delighted to be embarking on her first UK tour, playing the role of "Conchita Alverez" in Barry Manilow's Copacabana, staged by Ash Productions and directed by Thom Southerland. The show is set to play a host of venues around the UK.
